I'm trying to trace information on my great grandparents~ Samuel Hilton & Sarah Ann Hilton (nee Gregory). Samuel was the Station Master at Bamber Bridge between 1891 and 1911 - possibly longer than that. On the 1911 census~ their youngest daughter~ Ada Frances was still living with them at 248 Station Road. I wonder if anyone knows when Samuel and Sarah died~ perhaps even where they were buried or what became of Ada. In view of his 'long service' as Station Master~ I wonder if his passing merited a note in the local newspaper? Any information greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Jesse Fowler was christened Chorley 26.09.1824~ his parents were Thomas Fowler born 1792 and Jennet Fowler born 1796~ maiden name not known~ (see 1881 census)****Jesse was my gt grandfather but he called himself Jesse Warburton~ haven't yet been able to find why~ can anyone give me a clue where to look next.**Thanks Cheryl

Jesse Warburton born BRINSCALL 1830-33 approx~ could have been christened THOMAS FOWLER. There was only one Warburton family living in Whithnell in 1841 Bartholomew~ Martha and children Caleb~ Rachael~ Mary~ Mary~ Alice~ Richard and Ann. Was Jesse adopted by this family?**Any information greatly appreciated. **Thanks**Cheryl

I am researching my family History.My Great Great Grandfather was called Stephen Earnshaw.(1847-1925) He married Sarah Worsley and they lived with their family at Lower Wood Farm in Over Darwen.My Great Grandfather was John Earnshaw who married Hannah Jane Croft.They lived at Friar Hill Farm~Green Haworth~Accrington.**It would be lovely to make contact with anyone else tracing my family

JESSE WARBURTON/FOWLER was my great grandfather~ the 1861 census return states he was born in BRINSCALL 1830-32. Search for his baptism in many Parish registers going back to year 1821 in some covering this area has proved unsuccessful. He moved to South Wales and married in 1857~ his marriage certificate gives his father's name as Thomas Fowler~ farmer. I have no information about Jesse's family in Lancashire at all or what the link to Fowler is. Any clues about his parentage will be greatly appreciated.**Thanks Cheryl**

my mothers family came from withnell fold~ and grandfather worked at the paper mill.Iam trying to find out the year my grandfather died~ his last couple of years were spent in either withnell house or park hall care home~would have been probably early 1960s his name was alexander mcintyre.he had a daughter &sons. any information would be gratefully recieved.

Looking for information about my grandmother who was married to Frederick Baron. They had 2 sons~ George and my father~ Granville~ whose second name was Brindle. Dad said his mother was named Ida but I have been unable to find any reference to an Ida Baron who died 1947-1949. I did find an Elizabeth Baron who died in 1947 aged 53. Could this be her?

My grandmother was Ada Ellen Walmsley. She was born Dec. 25~ 1878 in Blackburn. She immigrated to Winnipeg~ Manitoba~ Canada where she married Charles Butterfield~ November 3~ 1904. They went on to have 5 children all who have now passed away. I never knew either grandparent and have very little information on them. I believe my mother once said that my grandmother was a twin. In my mother's address book there is an entry for T. Royston 195 Leamington Road~ Blackburn~ England. This address book was probably from the 1930s but someone might know of this relative.
